Women at
the center of climate
resilience.
We connect women in climate-vulnerable frontline places with the knowledge, tools, partners, and funding to protect health, strengthen incomes, and build resilience in a changing climate.
Our Approach →WHO WE ARE
Women prepared.Futures protected. For what comes next.
For What Comes is a women-centered climate organization. We focus on women on the front lines of climate risk — especially women working independently every day. We connect them with practical solutions, resilience, adaptation, training, partners, and resources to help them thrive in a changing climate.
Our Story →THE PROBLEM
Heat is changing
how women work.
Extreme heat is putting women’s health and livelihoods under growing pressure—especially women whose income depends on being able to work each day.
Too hot to work.
Too costly to stop.
For women working outdoors, independently, informally, or in places without adequate cooling, dangerous heat can mean exhaustion, dehydration, headaches, lost working hours, and lost income.
Yet many women cannot simply stop working when temperatures become unsafe.
Protecting your health should not mean losing your livelihood.
From identifying the challenge to scaling what works.
Identify the problem
Understand how extreme heat is affecting women’s health, income, and ability to work, where protection is missing, and what needs to change.
Find partners
Bring together women-led organizations, local partners, technical experts, and others who can help move solutions forward.
Mobilize funding
Connect strong ideas and local needs with the resources required to put them into practice.
Implement solutions
Turn practical resilience ideas into real programs, tools, and support for women.
Learn and adapt
Use what we learn from implementation to improve solutions as needs and conditions change.
Scale what works
Help successful approaches reach more women and communities where they can have meaningful impact.
OUR IMPACT
Starting with
extreme heat.
We start with extreme heat because it affects women’s health, income, and ability to adapt, especially for women on the front lines who work independently every day. We advance practical responses such as heat-triggered insurance, cooling and shade, useful heat information, and resilience training.
